1.- Why choosing a motorhome if there are hotels anywhere around the world?
Travelling by motorhome provides a freedom that you will hardly find in other ways of travelling. You can change your destination as you go along, without any kind of worry: we have all that we need. We are self-sufficient to decide our own course. This is such a pleasant feeling, that you can enjoy it from the very first moment.

2.- Which are the favourite destinations of American motorhome users when they arrive in Spain?

Spain is a country of big contrasts and a great cultural wealth. That's the reason why discovering Spain by motorhome can become an unforgettable experience. All our clients and friends from America have told us this and do agree.
There are countless known touristic routes, in addition to those invented and discovered by each user as they go along. There are routes that suit all tastes: total nature, river routes, museums, charming villages, gastronomic routes, coast routes,...

However, there are some places considered as "mythical", where every motorhome user dreams of going to. Some of these places in Europe are: Castles Route (Scotland), Loire River Route (France), Moscow (Russia), Normandy (France), Charles V Route (Gemany), North Cape and Fjords (Norway), etc.

Specially in Germany, France and United Kingdom, a lot of travel guides for motorhome users are published, where you will find places of interest, routes, charming places, etc.

3.- Which driving license category do I need to drive a motorhome?
Current legislation in Europe states that any kind of light vehicle (up to 3,500 kg) of less than 8 seats requires a B1 driving license, as for motorhomes. That is, it is enough to have a private car driving license.

Home

4.- How many people can comfortably travel in a motorhome?
All our motorhomes have up to 6 seats to travel. The choice of the right model will depend on the number and age of the passengers, based on the beds distribution and seats on the dining room.

We advise you to choose a model having a minimum of fixed beds equal to the number of passengers, avoiding this way to clear up the dining roome every single night.

If you have some question about, please contact us and we will tell you the best option to have a successful travel.

5.- Are motorhomes heavy and slow on the road?
Motorhomes are vehicles perfectly prepared to take long trips, in a very relaxed and comfortable way. Motorhome weight is very light due to the special materials used in their manufacture, it is very pleasant to drive them and they are not heavy at all. Nevertheless, you must remember and be aware that you are driving a leisure vehicle big enough and not a sports car.

6.- Is the driving dangerous?
Absolutely no. Motorhomes undergo strict security controls from the designing phase to the manufacture’s one, and they are officially authorized by national authorities, assuring their security as any other vehicle. Moreover, when you travel by motorhome, the trip must be relaxed in order to enjoy the viewings at every single moment.

7.- Must people be experts to drive a motorhome?

Driving a motorhome does not imply having special conditions. You just have to observe the usual indications for other private cars: speed limit, traffic situation, weather conditions, road surface characteristics, etc.

Most of junior drivers feel right driving a motorhome a few minutes after starting the trip.

8.- Do motorhomes consume a lot of fuel?
All motorhomes in Spain use diesel and thus, the fuel cost is slightly lower than, for instance, a petrol engine car with high-medium engine capacity. The normal fuel consumption is about 12 l of diesel per 100km. Nevertheless, it depends on the weight, size and type of driving.

Parking is allowed almost in every centre of population wherever in Europe, but in some very touristic cities, where traffic wardens will offer you to park your motorhomes in places specially prepared for that purpose.

As for the nights, each country has its own services. In Spain special places for that purpose begin to be fitted out to park and spend the night in, as do in the rest of European countries. Don't worry, in Eurovan you will be given some information about special areas to spend the night with motorhomes.

On the other hand, in Spain there are more than 1,000 campsites and most of them are perfectly prepared to offer their services to motorhome users. You will have a campsite guide with the vehicle documents, in case you will need it.

The service areas/rest areas or “aires” in french motorways are especially comfortable to spend the night. Lots of them have wonderful natural sights and, most of them have all kind of extra services for travelers such as W.C., showers, kids area, etc.

Germany has thousands of “Stellplatz” or parking areas where spend the night. Lots of them have service poles for motorhomes and most of them are established in green areas close to restaurants and sport areas, etc.
